THE LAND
80 acres to explore
The best part of Fox & Fern is right outside the door. Grab the property map from the house and head out. There's always something new to find.
Over 2 miles of marked trails: Wind through the woods on foot in summer and fall, or on snowshoes in winter.
The birch forest: A quiet stand of white birch that glows in the evening light.
The Nemadji River: Follow the trail down to the river overlook, pull up a chair, and listen to the water.
The secret tree fort: Somewhere (close by) in the woods is a platform with a yellow slide. The kids usually find it first.
Fox and Fern: Two enclosed deer stands, named after the house, perfect for watching wildlife at dawn and dusk.
The fire pit: S'mores, stars and stories. Firewood is provided.
